EMOTIONAL
COMPETENCY PROFILER (ECP)
Purpose of ECP:
The 360º Profiler focuses on the two main areas
of emotional intelligence, namely personal and interpersonal
effectiveness.
It is a statistically validated assessment tool, but
not a psychological test. The purpose of the profiler
is to give you an opportunity:
- To look at your emotional skills in a “mirror”
through your own eyes;
- To look at your behaviour through the eyes of other
people, as indicated;
- When administered in the context of a team or organisation,
to pick up trends and to
be able to compare your own ratings with that of others.
The focus is on the identification of your strengths
and weaknesses, to enable you to capitalise on your
strengths and improve in the areas that might prevent
you from achieving your full potential.
Value of ECP:
The selected items are just a sample of behaviour and
the responses are based on your own and other people’s
perceptions. The value of a 360º assessment tool
is that it can help you to identify your “blind
spots” – the things that other people notice
about you, but that you might not be aware of. A self-assessment
is as valid as your level of honesty and your ability
to look objectively at your own behaviour.
Clusters of competencies that are covered in
the 360º ECP:
- Emotional literacy
- Self-esteem/self-regard
- Self-management
- Self-motivation
- Change resilience
- Interpersonal relations
- Integration of head and heart
