Conflict is an integral part of day-to-day life in
a South Africa that is reeling from the aftermath of
apartheid, and we are often unsure of what to do with
the feelings of conflict that arise within us. This
highly interactive course shows how basic human qualities
such as patience and empathy can increase the value
of an organisation’s intellectual capital.
Topics covered include; Relationships, Acknowledging
feelings, Changing your attitude, Controlling aggression,
Win/win solutions, The Art of Apology and Reconciling
as a Nation. This module teaches the learner the underlying
dynamics of conflict and some basic techniques of conduct
to use during conflict situations. The concepts taught
are cutting-edge from Columbia University and have been
expertly applied to our South African environment.
