What is Coaching?
Essentially coaching consists of a series of structured
one-on-one conversations between a coach and a beneficiary. Such conversations will focus on values, strengths,
vulnerabilities and leadership style, etc. The purpose
of this interaction is to improve the beneficiary’s
on-the-job performance.
The beneficiary should expect a coaching experience
which is honest, insightful, challenging, compassionate,
goal-directed, inspirational and empowering.
The coaching topics could for example include, mindset
shift, attitude adjustment, personal mastery, interpersonal
skills, emotional insight, team issues, vision, values
and strategy, etc.
The coaching process will be 100% confidential and
provide independent feedback.
How does the coaching process work?
The coaching engagement will essentially consist of
these four broad phases namely:
- Diagnosing and Defining
- Contracting the coaching plan and process
- The coaching
sessions
- Monitoring and evaluation
